Cruise ship, the new way to explore Setouchi.
JR West has been working towards introducing cruises as a new way to tour Setouchi, allowing visitors to tour the region's many islands, as well as destinations that may be harder to reach via land.
Following 2016-2017's Onomichi Suido Gourmet Cruise and 2018's Setouchi Shimatabi Cruise, JR West has collaborated with Setonaikaikisen to present Setouchi Shimatabi Cruise, touring popular islands along the Tobishima and Shimanami Kaido Expressways.
The new cruise offers a casual alternative to a luxury liner.
